CONNECTED LEARNING
The Connected Learning Alliance (clalliance.org) and several sister sites supported by the MacArthur Foundation were created [by Salter Mitchell] to promote and educate about the concept of connected learning. These sites and their branding needed to be bold, eye catching, and quickly engage the user. The Connected Learning Alliance promotes the concept of connected learning and its relevance in today's culture. The Badge Alliance is a sister site that provides a connection for a network of organizations collaborating to build an open badge system to allow individuals to indicate skill or acheivements through credible organizations. This organization was formed at the 2014 Open Badges Summit hosted by Reconnect Learning, another sister site we worked on. Cities of Learning and Summer to Make, Play and Connect are both sites that provide connections to events being held that endeavour to promote the principles of connected learning.
